The 2023 Mahindra Humanities Center Interdisciplinary Graduate Student Conference
Mahindra Humanities Center | Harvard University | 25 – 26 March 2023
OVERWHELMING NATURE: CONFRONTING CATASTROPHE & THE SUBLIME IN THE ARTS & HUMANITIES

Getting Around

Our conference will take place at the Harvard University Mahindra Humanities Center, located at 12 Quincy Street, Cambridge, Massachusetts 02138, USA.

As part of the Boston metropolitan area, Cambridge is served by the MBTA subway and bus systems. The Harvard stop on the Red Line of the MBTA subway is about a 10-minute walk from the Mahindra Humanities Center. Bus stops for several MBTA bus routes are also nearby in Harvard Square.

*Note that, for the weekend of March 25th-26th, above-ground shuttle buses will replace Red Line trains between the Harvard and JFK/UMass stations (the inbound direction when departing from Harvard) due to maintenance work. Follow signs or ask MBTA staff for directions to the shuttle bus stop.

From the Boston Logan International Airport, you can reach Harvard by taking the MBTA Silver Line bus from the airport to South Station, then transferring to the Red Line (Alewife direction) until the Harvard stop.

Train travelers using Amtrak rail service can reach Harvard either by taking a train to Boston’s South Station (and then taking the MBTA Red Line to Harvard) or by taking a train to Boston’s North Station or Back Bay (and then taking the MBTA Orange Line, then transferring to the Red Line to get to the Harvard stop).
